Thursday 1st July

Thank you for joining our Zoom call today. Apologies for the technical difficulties I had and thank you for your patience.

Following today's Zoom call please see information regarding the task below:

Write sentences using prepositions of place and adjectives to describe where each object is. I have tried to circle all the objects in the picture but there maybe some hidden ones I have missed. Here are some sentence starters to help you:

Behind the tall, brown tree I can see.....

In the distance I can see...

On the leafy, green ground I can see...

Next to the boy in the red coat I can see...

Other prepositions of place you could use are:

·         under

·         next to

·         beside

·         above

·         below

·         At the bottom

·         At the top

Write your sentences on paper, and send a photo or write on a word document and send your work to year2@fearnville.bradford.sch.uk

For tomorrow's Zoom call (also at 10:30am) please have a pencil and paper and 20 objects. These could be anything you have 20 of in your house. For example, 20 pieces of pasta, 20 stones from the garden, 20 baked beans (and a spoon to move these around), 20 squares of paper or 20 socks. Anything is acceptable, as long as there is 20 of them.

Here is the link for the video on prepositions in case you would like to watch it again: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z7s3p4j/articles/z6dt7yc

Here is the link for the story we listened to if you want to watch it again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YV5GvSUyv4

The spellings we used today are:

·         shoreline

·         tide

·         ocean

·         castle

·         moat

·         seagull

·         offshore

·         sandwich

·         delicious

·         magnificent

Please practice these and if you can write a sentence using each word correctly.

Finally, here is the link for the virtual big sing at 1:30pm today: https://youtu.be/aqct2jd9LOI I hope you enjoy joining in with the superstars!

Again, thank you for all your help with home learning, if you have any concerns or questions, please email me at year2@fearnville.bradford.sch.uk . I will also be available after the zoom call if you would like to speak to me directly.

Many thanks
